An important diagnostic tool is the Sleep Apnea Lab. Observing the patient while sleeping allows the Physician to know the type and severity of the sleeping disorder. In a comfortable bed in a relaxed setting, the overnight testing is painless and effortless.

Depending on the type of sleeping disorder, the Physician may prescribe medication, the use of a breathing aid such as CPAC, or surgery to resolve the problem.
