SERVICES PROVIDED FOR OUR PATIENTS
Our Surgeons perform a variety of General, Vascular (Blood Vessel
System Repair) and Thoracic (Chest Surgery) surgical procedures,
including surgical treatment for gallbladder disease, hemorrhoids,
colon problems, peripheral vascular problems, repair of hernias,
placing ports for dialysis, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer,
removing breast masses, and trauma care.
BREAST CANCER TREATMENT
When a breast lump is found, a first step is often to biopsy the lump
and have a Pathologist determine whether it is malignant and if it is, the type.
This gives you and your physicians the information needed to treat the problem.
Sometimes a lumpectomy will suffice, in other cases a mastectomy will provide
the best chance of long-term recovery. Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy
are often recommended.
We will listen to you and explain what is going on to keep you fully involved
in the treatment and recovery process.
